I got to work on a project for US Gov, while I was in USA. CS549 proved very helpful to me during that project. My team members were amazed by my knowledge of Cryptography.

I have 8 years of experience in wireless communication,  however, I didn't have enough academic exposure to this area. So, I tailored my MS to take network and telecommunication related courses.  I believe, I always contributed to my team as "executor"; now after my MS, I am in position to contribute as "innovator".

The distance learning MS from IIT Chicago is a very rigorous one and I would recommend it only for those interested in learning and applying their learnings immediately in their work. It requires a lot of personal dedication from the student but the returns will stand you in good stead over your career.
