Hi Raja,
Thanks for giving me this opportunity.
Firstly, as a student of Bachelor of Engineering, I aspired to do my Masters in the area of Digital Communications. Due to various reasons, I could not take up a full time Masters course. I am sure this will be the case with most of the IT professionals who start working after their Bachelor's. IIT provides an excellent opportunity. Frankly, I realized that it is much better to do a Master's degree after a small industry experience. This gives more insight into the subjects of our specialization.
Secondly, the Master's degree obtained at IIT is on-par with the degree obtained by a full time student. We get to see the same classes, we do the same assignments and face the same exams. This is a huge plus point since it means that we can get a Masters degree (equivalent of full time MS) and also continue with our career.
Bright employees make a bright organization. No doubt that pursuing Master's degree with IIT gives the employees more insight into the theoretical aspects of their jobs (their job of course, provides the practical exposure). This makes an employee more knowledgeable about his field of work. IIT offers a wide variety of courses for professionals working in a large spectrum of fields. A judicious choice of course can be made by the individual keeping in mind his company's benefit and his long term goal.
Lastly, you take all the pain to make sure that there are no "administrative" issues troubling the students and they can concentrate entirely on their study.
