Dear Kannan,

I am the HR manager at EMC Data (India). I need your help. We planning to support our engineers for doing their Master's with IIT.

I understand that you are an alumnus of IIT. I would appreciate if you spare some time and let us know about your experience of doing the course remotely from India.

Specifically:

1. Did you find the course useful and relevant?

Yes, course was very useful and relevant. I did my specialization in software engineering through some of the advanced design and architecture concepts, advanced operating systems, databases, client server architecture and software engineering latest topics (metrics, quality assurance etc) were covered in a very practical manner with projects, assignments.

2. What problems did you face?

Actually not many. Only issue is time management, between course work and office work. I used to take only 2 courses in the Spring / Fall semesters and one course during the short summer semester which helped quite a bit. So apart from balancing time there weren’t any issues that I can think of.

I appreciate your taking time out to respond to this mail.

Regards,

Rajshekar Krishnan
Manager – HR, EMC Data Storage Systems India
